Skills Matter.
A study was recently published that examined the effects of specific adjustments versus random cracking of the neck. The researchers found that brain function improved with specific adjustments, which is consistent with previous studies. However, when the neck is randomly cracked, there are no actual changes occurring. Therefore, it is important to see a highly trained chiropractor who uses specific techniques for optimal results.
So what the researchers do? They wanted to know if adjusting specifically where the subluxations are, would make an effect that is different than just cracking necks. They use the neck as an example. So random cracking versus specific adjustment. And what they found is that brain function improved with specific adjustment. Many studies have already showed that. But they found that contrarily to the specific adjustment, when you just crack the neck, there are no changes happening. There’s noise, but there is no actual change. So when you go see a very highly trained chiropractor who is going to use an instrument, who’s going to use their hands, and it’s going to be a totally different.
Skills matter. A lot.
