A question that comes up occasionally is: what happens when chiropractic goes wrong?
Well, I’ve been a chiropractor for over 30 years, I have a lot of experience, so I am the perfect person to answer that. I have seen many situations and the reality is that chiropractic hardly ever goes wrong. Things can happen. People can fall. People can get hurt. People can make mistakes.
But the actual application of chiropractic is extremely safe. I have had the opportunity to work on our state board, where I saw everything that happened in the state for a period of several years. And really when you look, when you put it into a wide context, there just aren’t that many incidences that ever happen and certainly aren’t really serious preventable incidences that happen due to chiropractic. Now, the human failings of individual doctors… That’s another topic.
The bottom line is that the idea upon which chiropractic is based is sound. Your body’s smart. Your body know how to run itself. Your brain tells all of your body parts how to do it. If your spine is out of line, it’s going to create a disruption and you’re not going to be optimally functioning. You’re not going to be optimally healing. Chiropractors reset the process. We do it in a very gentle, safe, extremely effective way and the results are fantastic. The risks are minimal. I hope this help you frame the level of safety that our care offers. I can’t wait to see you.
